Running an access review
An access review asks whether current permissions still have a justified owner and business purpose. The decision must be followed by implementation.

No. The authorized change must be implemented and verified.
Give reviewers context
Provide the identity, resource, permission, owner, and relevant usage information. Lack of recent use is a clue, not automatic proof of no need.
Record a decision
Approve justified access, request clarification, or recommend removal under policy. Do not approve an entire list without examination.
Close the loop
Track resulting changes and verify them. A checked box in the review is not proof that access changed.
Put it in context
A manager rejects export access for a contractor. The IAM team removes it and records verification, completing the review action.
Review decisions need evidence and verified follow-through.
